New Baby Blog

Hey all....

I am starting a new blog that will be all about my baby girl. I have gone back and forth on what to do with my blog. As I try to sort it all out, I will have a blog specifically for Aniston. It will be updates about her, her latest adventures, newest fashions and much more. It will be something I will show her one day and I will do my best to update it frequently.

This blog isn't going away but won't include as much about Lady A.

The new blog is called: All Things Lady A . Go check it out here and let me know what you think!

Aniston's Nursery

So here is the post I have been waiting to write for a while! Aniston's big nursery reveal!!

When having her newborn photos taken, the talented Aimee with Radiant Photography also took pictures of her room! I would call it 95% complete but if I wait until it is totally done, it could be a while. So here you go...

Oh and this little angel lasted about 10 whole minutes in her crib.
But I know she will love it soon enough :)

The crib is from Restoration Hardware, as is the chandelier, the bedding, the personalized crown canvas, the tutu pillow, the rug, the bunny and the hamper (not pictured).

I bought the rocker off Craigslist and had it recovered with fabric from Nell Hill's. This was the inspiration for the entire room. We also used the same fabric for the window seat. The pouf is from Z Gallerie and I use it as the ottoman when I use the chair.

The lamp and ruffle pillow (inside the crib) are from Lauren Alexandra and the leopard one was made by my uncle from leftover fabric from the rocker. The other pillows on the window seat are from Etsy and Target.

The changing table was bought at a home store and the mirror was a garage sale find!

And of course the monogram canvas was a fabulous gift from my good friend over at The Magic Brush. She also painted the pink side table which was originally black and purchased a few years ago at Target.

This has to be my new favorite room and hope that Aniston loves it for many years to come!

Hello Baby Girl!!

So I have had a few requests for an update. I am so sorry I haven't posted one!!

Our sweet Aniston Reilly was born on Thursday, August 30 at 10:30 AM. She weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces and was 20 inches long.

My delivery really wasn't all that bad but I will save the birth story for another post!

Here are some photos of the big day:
I got my hospital gown here and totally recommend getting one - it just makes you feel a little prettier :)

Daddy and daughter

Proud Grandparents

Totally in love

It is hard to believe that it has been two weeks already. I clearly haven't had much time to blog because between feeding, pumping, eating, sleeping, doing dishes, laundry, changing diapers (you get the idea) there just isn't a ton of time but I wouldn't change it for the world!!

Thank you SOOO much to Radiant Photography for capturing these beautiful images. God bless her, she was in the hospital room with me from about 5 AM until the big debut! I am so so excited to see all of the pictures she took. Having a photographer in the room is another thing I would highly recommend.

I promise to post more pics soon!

Sunday's Seven

Today's Sunday Seven is brought to you by the word ANXIOUS. It is all about my pregnancy, of course, because that is all that is on my mind. And ironically, it has 7 letters. Perfect!

Aniston. If you don't know by now, that is baby girls name. I love seeing it and I love saying it. I can't wait to meet her and tell her what her name is :)

Nesting. I don't think I have had this sensation yet. And I might not. I can almost guarantee that you won't hear about me cleaning my baseboards or anything crazy like that. Sure, I am picking up around the house, doing laundry, etc but these are all things that I do all of the time anyways. So nothing out of the ordinary. I will keep you posted if this changes :)

eXcited. That might be an understatement. ECSTATIC is more like it.

Impatient. I am getting very impatient awaiting baby girls arrival. Will it be tonight, tomorrow, next week?! Ahhh, the suspense is about to kill me.

Ouch. Because baby girl is running out of room, it is causing some major discomfort. It is hard to get comfortable. I have to go to the bathroom every 20 minutes. And yes, I am sure there will be many more "ouches" to come soon. But "she is worth it", right?! RIGHT?!

Unknown. There are so so many unknowns. When will she come? How will she come? What will she look like? The list goes on.

Silly People. I realize that most people mean well but wow, people say the craziest things! Some of my favorites are:
"Are you still pregnant?!" - Ummm...Clearly, yes. Yes I am. What gave it away - the belly or the no baby??
"Wow - getting bigger everyday" - Why, thank you - and actually you look a little plump yourself!
"You've got the waddle down" - Once again, thank you. Any other words of encouragement you have??
"You look like you are going to pop" -  I really want to reply and say, "Actually, I have 10 more weeks"
"Your pregnancy has gone by so fast" - Oh has it?! Mmkay....
And my very favorite...
"Are you excited?" - Nah.

Sunday's Seven

So I know I am totally behind on my Sunday's Seven posts and my only real excuse...PREGNANCY!
Here are some photos that let ya know what I have been up to:

Had the MOST wonderful baby shower ever and these were the darling water bottles that were just ONE of the cute details at the shower. I just LOVE seeing her name!

We got to watch Walter while his parents went out of town and he did a lot of this...

My hospital gown came in and I can't wait to wear it. Yes, it looks huge and yes, it fits. *sigh*

My brother and SIL got me the most amazing gift...The mamaRoo!! Can't wait to put little miss in it!

Oh and they gave me this little gift too :) I got to babysit him for a few hours and let me just say...
I'm obsessed!

Frick and Frack are totally checking out all of Baby A's new gadgets.
I don't think they know what is about to happen to their little lives...

I organized all of Baby A's bottles. And yes, I know I am a freak. And yes, I know that I am only having ONE baby but a friend loaded me up with 10 four oz. bottles so I think I am prepared :)

KC and I went to Parkville Days because I was really wanting a funnel cake. I am glad I got a picture because much to my dismay, halfway through eating it, it got dropped on the ground.
That is another story for another time because I am not quite over it yet!! :/
